RibLoc

Approval

This letter is in response to your submission earlier this year, requesting VicRoads to consider RIB LOC Series 2000 Drainage Pipes for project use.

Your attention is drawn to Road Design Note 7-10 of 9 December 98, for High Density Polyethylene Structured Wall Pipes. This note sets out the structural design notes and references to AS/NZS 2566.1:1998 Buried Flexible Pipes Part 1: Structural Design. Also included are the advantages and disadvantages of polyethylene type drainage pipes.

RIB LOC Series 2000 does have the added advantage of helical steel reinforcement.

The use of RIB LOC Series 2000 high density, steel reinforced, polyethylene structured wall drainage pipe is considered suitable for VicRoads projects on the following conditions:

(a) The Project Manager has sole discretion as to approval for the use

(b) The design should be carried out by a registered engineer following:

Yours faithfully
